Class of 2026 5-star quarterback Dia Bell will lead his No. 8 American Heritage [FL] Patriots into battle Friday night against the No. 15 Chaminade-Madonna [FL] Lions.

The last time we saw the No. 8 American Heritage [Plantation, FL] Patriots on August 22, they were celebrating a dramatic 31-28 come-from-behind victory against the then-No. 20 St. Joseph's Prep [Philadelphia, PA] Hawks.

The Patriots trailed, 28-0, with less than five minutes to play before mounting a furious rally in one of the best comebacks you'll see at the high school football level. It's the only game they've played so far after taking a bye last weekend.

That same weekend didn't go nearly as well for their opponent this weekend, No. 15 Chaminade-Madonna. The Lions were whipped by the No. 4 St. Frances Academy [Baltimore, MD] Panthers, 42-13, in a game that may not have been that close.

The two Florida powerhouses played last year in a high-flying affair that saw the Lions outlast the Patriots 48-39.

Both schools won state championships in Florida's FHSAA ranks a year ago with American Heritage going on to capture the Class 4A title while Chaminade-Madonna was crowned the Class 1A champs.
