FINAL: No. 4 St. Frances Academy demolishes No. 10 Chaminade-Madonna, 42-13 image

The No. 4 St. Frances Academy [Baltimore, MD] Panthers are in Florida to took on the No. 10 Chaminade-Madonna [Hollywood, FL] Lions Saturday night.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida, Aug. 23 — The No. 4 St. Frances Academy [Baltimore, MD] Panthers defeated the No. 10 Chaminade-Madonna [Hollywood, FL] Lions, 42-13, Saturday night in the finale of the Broward County National Football Showcase.

St. Frances Academy is an independent program playing a national schedule. The Panthers are currently the top-ranked high school football team in the state of Maryland.

Chaminade-Madonna, meanwhile, is Florida's defending FHSAA Class 1A state champions.

Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. EST in Miami, Florida. The game is available on the ESPN app.

Chaminade-Madonna scores a late touchdown during the running clock and adds the extra point to bring the game to a close. St. Frances Academy heads back to Baltimore, Maryland, with a 42-13 win.

If there were any remaining doubts, St. Frances Academy just put those to rest with another touchdown. The Panthers look like a dominant football team, and it will be interesting to see them in their visit to California in a couple of weeks to take on No. 3 St. John Bosco. Up 42-7 now, the running clock has kicked in.

There have been a lot of wild comebacks this weekend, especially in this Broward County National Football Showcase. But No 4. St. Frances Academy has just been too much for No. 10 Chaminade-Madonna. As we head inside seven minutes to play, St. Frances still leads 35-7, and it appears to be safely in the win column with the Panthers inside Chaminade-Madonna's 10-yard line.

St. Frances Academy drove the ball inside Chaminade-Madonna's 10-yard line. They elected to go for it on a fourth down, and the Lions' defense held. The ball is turned over on downs, and the Lions take over on their own 7.
