ホーフォードはウォリアーズと複数年契約を結ぶと伝えられている。

アトランタ・ホークスとボストン・セルティックスでプレイしてきたホーフォードは、2025-26シーズンが19年目のシーズン。通算で1138試合に出場（先発1078試合）。平均31.6分間のプレイで12.9得点、7.9リバウンド、3.2アシスト、フィールドゴール成功率50.9％、3ポイントショット成功率37.7％を記録している。2024年にセルティックスで優勝に貢献した。

昨季はセルティックスで60試合に出場（先発42試合）。1試合平均27.7分間のプレイで9.0得点、6.2リバウンド、2.1アシスト、FG成功率42.3％、3P成功率36.3％をマークしている。
