Aledo (TX) at Denton Ryan (TX)

Here we go again. The next chapter in the storied Aledo-Denton Ryan rivalry will determine if the Bearcats can run their national-record district winning streak to 131 straight games.

Last year, Aledo beat Denton Ryan, 42-27, in the regular season, but the Raiders got their revenge by eliminating the Bearcats from the Class 5A state playoffs, 31-21.

Not surprisingly, both teams come into the rematch undefeated. Aledo is ranked No. 6 in The Sporting News Texas top 25 rankings this week, while Denton Ryan is No. 13. The winner has the inside track to the District 3-5A Division I title.
