Montgomery senior Mason Jordan is off to a solid season as one of Louisiana's top passers.
Jordan accounted for 435 yards and six touchdowns in the Tigers’ 64-62 loss to Elton in Week 3. Jordan passed for 310 yards and three touchdowns, while rushing for 125 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries.
This season, Jordan has passed for 1,045 yards and 14 touchdowns, while adding five more touchdowns on the ground.
For his efforts, Jordan was named as the The Sporting News' Louisiana Player of the Week for Week 3 (Sept. 15-21).
Jordan earned 980 (53.55%) of the 1,830 votes, while Mangham's Colby Casey earned 431 (23.55%) and Logansport's Keaton Cason garnered 361 (19.73%).
