Week 5 in Louisiana high school football featured several key performances on offense and defense.

Here’s a look at those top individual performances from Week 5.

J’vien Adams, Iowa: Adams rushed for 187 yards and two touchdowns in the Yellow Jackets’ 42-23 win over St. Louis. Adams added a 66-yard reception for a touchdown.

Jake Black, Loyola: Black caught 10 passes for 176 yards and three touchdowns in the Flyers’ 71-48 win over Minden.

Cameron Bonin, Lake Arthur: Bonin completed six of 10 passes for 215 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Tigers to a 47-8 win over Rosepine.

Jaidon Briggs, Vinton: In a 46-40 loss to North Iberville, Briggs had 45 carries for 283 yards with five touchdowns.

Trel Broom, Leesville: Despite a 42-35 loss to Benton, Broom passed for a school-record 407 yards and four touchdowns on 26 of 44 aim.

Kennan Brown Jr., Lafayette Renaissance: Brown passed for 218 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Tigers to a 50-10 win over Beau Chene.

Ayden Carter, Lake Charles College Prep: Carter rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-42 loss to Catholic (New Iberia). Carter also caught two passes for 43 yards.

Cam Carter, Livonia: Carter completed 16 of 22 passes for 311 yards and four touchdowns in a 44-37 loss to Catholic (Pointe Coupee). Carter finished with 438 total yards and 5 total touchdowns.

Greg Chambers, Benton: Chambers rushed for 141 yards and four touchdowns as the Tigers rallied back to defeat Leesville, 42-35.

Montrell Conner, Ouachita Parish: Conner accounted for 196 yards and four touchdowns in the Lions’ 42-14 win over Franklin Parish.

Brady Cribby, Haynes Academy: Cribby rushed for 235 yards and three touchdowns in Haynes’ win over Ben Franklin. He also added a receiving touchdown.

Malachi Dabney, Destrehan: Dabney ran for 145 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Wildcats to a win over Terrebonne.

MJ Dade, Ouachita Parish: Dade rushed for 199 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries as Ouachita defeated Franklin Parish, 42-14.

Tyray Darensburg, Chalmette: Darensburg had 18 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble in a 20-6 win over Pearl River.

Collin Deere, Byrd: Deere rushed for 228 yards and two touchdowns in the Yellow Jackets’ 52-24 loss to Parkway.

Demarkus Evans, Evangel: Evans caught five passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns in Evangel’s 62-14 win over Huntington.

Owen Fletcher, Dutchtown: Fletcher rushed for 240 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Griffins to a win against St. Amant. He also threw a touchdown pass.

DeAndre Franklin, Archbishop Shaw: Franklin lead the Eagles to a 28-20 win over De La Salle with 127 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries.

Jackson Gaskin, Captain Shreve: Gaskin threw for 406 yards and four touchdowns in the Gators’ 66-56 win over Airline.

Bryce Gates, Arcadia: Despite a 49-44 loss to Jonesboro-Hodge, Gates led the Hornets with four touchdowns.

Adrian Godette, Delcambre: Godette had 11 carries for 299 yards and five touchdowns in 51-0 win over Highland Baptist.

Da'Jean Golmond, Denham Springs: Golmond completed 20 of 26 passes for 245 yards and five TDs in a 41-14 win over Southern Lab. He also ran for a touchdown.

Jelandon Gray, Barbe: In a 39-28 loss to Southside, Gray accounted for 282 yards and three touchdowns.

Carson Gurzi, Carencro: Gurzi completed 16 of 21 passes for 320 yards and six touchdowns in a 56-7 win over New Iberia.

Peyton “Pop” Houston, Evangel: Houston passed for 428 yards and six touchdowns on 19 of 25 aim in the Eagles’ 62-14 win over Huntington. Houston added a rushing touchdown to give him seven total touchdowns on the night.

Braylun Huglon, Calvary: Hughlon had six catches for 104 yards and a touchdown, along with an 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in a 62-8 win over the Magnolia School of Excellence.

John Johnson, Edna Karr: Johnson, a Liberty commit, passed for 342 yards and had five total touchdowns on 26 of 35 in a 42-21 win over St. Augustine.

Kervin Johnson, Tioga: The Louisiana Tech commit caught seven passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns against Jena in a 45-26 win. Johnson also rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown to finish with 260 total yards and three touchdowns. He added two tackles and an interception on defense.

Dakota Knox, Jonesboro-Hodge: Knox accounted for 406 total yards and six touchdowns in a in 49-44 win over Arcadia. Knox ran 23 times for 253 yards and four touchdowns, while completing  seven of 10 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns.

Braelyn Latin, North DeSoto: Latin rushed for 171 yards and three touchdowns in the Griffins’ 44-16 win over Booker T. Washington.

Zion Lee, Bunkie: The Navy commit ran for a school-record six touchdowns in the Panthers’ 46-28 triumph over Winnfield. Lee rushed for 179 yards on 20 carries.

Makelin Lemoine, Elton: Lemoine continued his strong season with 280 yards and five touchdowns on 15 carries to lead Elton to a 41-14 win over Hanson Memorial.

Elmari “Juice” Lewis, Vidalia: Lewis accounted for 374 yards (238 rushing, 136 passing) and four touchdowns (three rushing) in the Vikings’ 48-6 win over Delhi. Lewis also intercepted three passes.

Kaston Lewis, Iowa: Lewis rushed for 186 yards and three touchdowns to help Iowa get a 42-23 win

Charlie McKenzie, Loyola: McKenzie caught seven passes for 170 yards and three touchdowns to help Loyola earn a 71-48 win over Minden.

Yasin Meadors, Haynesville: Meadors only needed eight carries to rush for 151 yards and three touchdowns in Haynesville’s 56-19 win over Lincoln Prep.

Wyatt Monceaux, Lake Arthur: Monceaux was a tackling monster on defense with 22 tackles, two sacks and an interception in 47-8 win over Rosepine.

Owen Morris, Catholic (New Iberia): Morris racked up 300 total yards and four total touchdowns in the Panthers’ 49-42 win over Lake Charles College Prep. Morris rushed for 240 yards and three touchdowns.

Jayden Obiekwe, Riverside: Obiekwe rushed for 240 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Rebels to a win against Vermilion Catholic.

Terrance Pitre, South Lafourche: Pitre caught 14 passes for 169 yards and three TDs in a 49-27 loss to E.D. White.

Jamarcea Plater, Captain Shreve: The Wake Forest commit is now the Gators’ all-time leading rusher after rushing for 208 yards and two touchdowns during the Gators’ 66-56 win over Airline.

Jake Randle, Newman: Randle accounted for 337 yards and four touchdowns in the Greenies’ win over Riverdale.

Jarrison Reese, Church Point: Reese tallied 12 catches for 247 yards and two touchdowns in 35-10 win over Iota.

Ryan Regan, Glenbrook: Regan accounted for four touchdowns in the Apaches’ 50-0 win over Plain Dealing.

Bryce Restovich, Loyola: Restovich had a record-setting night by completing 28 of 33 passes for 513 yards and seven touchdowns in a 71-48 win over Minden. He also ran for a touchdown.

Parker Robinson, Neville: Robinson passed for 265 yards and three touchdowns on 13 of 18 aim to help lead Neville to a 28-21 win against Sterlington.

Dylan Shelmire, Zachary: Shelmire racked up six total tackles, four sacks, and six quarterback hurries in 51-6 win over Opelousas.

Trevin Simon, Ascension Catholic: Simon paced the Bulldogs with 23 carries for 290 yards and five TDs and three catches for 17 yards and a touchdown in a 49-40 win over Episcopal. Simon had 307 all-purpose yards and six total touchdowns.

Jaden Terrance, Rummel: Terrance had 12 carries for 221 yards and three touchdowns in 31-7 win over Brother Martin.

Roderick Tezeno, Opelousas Catholic: Tezeno caught seven passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns in the Vikings’ 52-30 victory over St. Edmund.

Isaiah Thomas, Kinder: Thomas engineered the Yellow Jackets to a 42-20 win over Logansport with 399 total yards and five total touchdowns. Thomas went 10-for-19 for 170 yards and two touchdowns passing, while rushing 18 times for 229 yards and three touchdowns.

Ahmad Vappie, The Willow School: Vappie caught eight passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns to lead Willow to an overtime victory over Sophie B. Wright.

Chase Williams, Airline: Williams was 26-for-36 with 422 passing yards and three touchdowns in a 66-56 loss to Captain Shreve.

Hudson Wright, Metairie Park Country Day: Wright lit up the Patrick Taylor to the tune of 370 yards and seven touchdowns on 22 of 26 aim in a win.

Ze’land Young, Neville: Young had six receptions for 158 yards and two touchdowns in the Tigers’ 28-21 win over Sterlington.

Malachi Zeigler, Benton: Zeigler accounted for 301 yards and two touchdowns in Benton’s 42-35 win to Leesville.
