Oscar Piastri set the fastest time in a chaos packed Practice 2 session under the lights at Marina Bay Sands.

There were lengthy delays after two red flags halted the session.

George Russell bought out the first when he lost control and crashed his Mercedes at Turn 16. Shortly after resuming, Racing Bull's Liam Lawson ended up in the wall at Turn 17 by the pit entry.

As the session finally went green again, drivers were a little too eager to get on track.

A major mistake from Ferrari and Charles Leclerc saw him crash into Lando Norris as he was making his way to the pit exit.

Norris suffered front wing damage, but McLaren managed to fix it for him to get in some flying laps. He only managed to finish fifth on the timesheets.

The pitlane incident is currently under investigation.

Leclerc ended the session ninth with his teammate Lewis Hamilton behind him in 10th.

Rookie Isack Hadjar impressed in second, just 0.132 seconds behind Piastri, followed by Max Verstappen.

Fernando Alonso topped the timesheets in the first session, and still managed a fourth place finish in the evening.

Norris "not feeling too great" in Singapore

The Brit won in Singapore last time out, but said doesn't seem as confident this year.

Speaking after the second practice session, Norris said he's feeling a little out of sorts with the McLaren.

"Just a difficult day for me, not feeling too great with the car. Missing all of the feelings I had here last year. So plenty of things to work on. Just a bad day."

"Oscar's quick so I've got nothing to complain about bar just not doing a very good job."

Norris reduced the deficit to Piastri in the drivers championship fight to 25 points - he only managed a seventh place finish in Azerbaijan, while Piastri crashed out in the first lap

The pressure is on for Norris as he looks to beat out his teammate to a maiden trophy.
