McLaren could still seal the 2025 constructors championship title when Formula 1 returns to Singapore.
They missed out on the chance to wrap up the title fight in record time with a win and podium in Azerbaijan.
Oscar Piastri crashed out in lap 1, while Lando Norris only managed six points with a 7th place finish.
The championship fight then continues to Marina Bay Sands, where they can match Red Bull's record of winning with six rounds remaining.
It'll be an easier task to seal the title on October 5, as the Papaya team will only need to score 13 points.
That's are the only permutations, it won't matter what their rivals Mercedes or Ferrari do.

So just one McLaren driver on the podium will be more than enough to call themselves the 2025 champions.
Norris won in Singapore last time out, so the team could look to him to replicate that.
Mercedes and Ferrari can mathematically stop McLaren if they outscore the team by 31 and 35 points respectfully to further delay their crowning.
So it's all to play for this weekend, but it doesn't look like McLaren have much to lose.
