Quite incredibly, Ange Postecoglou finds himself on the ropes as Nottingham Forest manager just over three weeks into the job.
Before Sunday's trip to Newcastle, his team have taken just a single point from three Premier League matches under his stewardship, scoring just one goal against Burnley.
They were dumped out of the Carabao Cup by Swansea, while last night's 3-2 defeat against Midtjylland in the Europa League meant Postecoglou took the unwanted accolade of becoming the first permanent Nottingham Forest manager in 100 years to fail to win any of his first six matches in charge.
The bookmakers have reacted quickly to the latest defeat, slashing his odds to become the third Premier League manager sacked this season after Nuno and Graham Potter.
Premier League Sack Race Odds
Here's the current betting odds for the next Premier League manager to leave their post.
Manager | Odds to leave |
Ange Postecoglou | 1/1 |
Ruben Amorim | 6/4 |
Enzo Maresca | 10/1 |
Unai Emery | 10/1 |
As the odds suggest, Ange Postecoglou is now the favourite to become the next manager sacked by a Premier League club, taking the tag - at least for now - from Man United's Ruben Amorim.
As soon as Graham Potter was ousted by West Ham (and replaced by the first manager sacked in Nuno), it was Amorim who assumed favouritism in the latest sack race.
In fact, before Forest's latest defeat in the Europa League, he was close to 70% likely to be the third manager sacked at odds of 4/9 on BetVictor.
However, Postecoglou is now an even money bet (implied 50% chance) to be next out the door, pushing Amorim out to 6/4 (40% chance). Who will be pushed first - Ruben or Ange?
The short term fixtures aren't kind for Postecoglou either. With Newcastle, Chelsea, Porto, Bournemouth and Man United to play in their next five fixtures, the 60-year-old needs to start finding wins as soon as possible to avoid a swift departure.

Who will be the next Forest manager?
If Forest make a second change before the clocks go back, it's anyone's guess who Angelos Marinakis and Edu will plump for next.
The Forest owner sat next to Rafael Benitez during Arsenal's win over his other club, Olympiakos, and the former Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle boss is currently out of work.
Could the Greek go back to a former manager in Pedro Martins? The Portuguese manager guided Olmypiacos to three consecutive titles from 2019/20 to 2021/22 before getting the boot.
Julen Lopetegui was linked to the job as Nuno's exit neared but his reputation has dropped since his failed stint at West Ham. It would be quite the story if he and Nuno swapped clubs they started last season with.
