As a result of winning the trophy, Spurs qualified for the Champions League, but there are still plenty of big sides in the mix this year.

Villa secures win
Villa missed out on Champions League qualification on the final day of the 2024/25 Premier League, but look primed for a run at the Europa League, especially with four-time winner Unai Emery at the helm, despite a poor start to the campaign domestically. They have begun to turn things around too with five league wins only being ended at Anfield last weekend.
Forest signs talent
Likewise, Forest's push for the Champions League went to the final day, and they are only in the Europa League due to the UEFA ruling on Crystal Palace. It's their first time in continental action in 30 years, and they will be looking to make an impact.
However, they are already onto their third manager of the campaign with Sean Dyche replacing Ange Postecoglou, who had replaced Nuno Espirito Santo in September. Dyche got off to a flier in Europe, defeating Porto at the City Ground in his very first game in charge.
Roma
Gian Piero Gasperini is now in charge at the Stadio Olimpico, and will be aiming to repeat his 2024 Atalanta success with his new side. With Evan Ferguson among the new arrivals in the Eternal City, they look a good bet to go far. It has been a strong start to Serie A for the Giallorossi.
Lyon
The Ligue 1 side were relegated for financial concerns before being reinstated, leading to Palace being demoted to the Europa Conference League as a result of an ownership overlap, so it's been quite a journey already.
Porto
Winners under Jose Mourinho in 2003 and Andre Villas-Boas in 2011, the Portuguese giants have the kind of European pedigree that should make them a smart bet to contend for the title. They have also started this season extremely well following the appointment of Francesco Farioli and are looking to re-establish themselves as the dominant force in Portuguese football.
