There are plenty of outright markets for punters to get excited by during the football season, aside from the regular staple accumulators, from league title winners, relegation odds and the race for the European spots, as well as the Golden Boot award.

Another of the most popular markets in the Premier League season is always the sack race, predicting who will become the first or next manager to leave his post in England’s top-flight.

Nuno Espirito Santo became the first casualty of the new season (quickly followed by Ruben Selles in the Championship), before Graham Potter's time ran out at West Ham. In a strange twist of fate, it was Nuno summoned to replace Potter at the London Stadium.

Nuno's replacement, Ange Postecoglou, was then dismissed after a shambolic 39 days in charge with no wins from eight games as Forest continue to fall into disarray. Now, another struggler, Wolves, have decided to part company with Vitor Pereira - who they gave a new contract to earlier this season.

AllSportsPeople is here to give you a rundown of the leading contenders to be the third manager sacked in the Premier League this season.

Next Premier League manager sacked 2025/26?

Here we round up some of the key contenders to be third out of a job in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke news

A 3-0 hammering at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium, as well as Pereira being sacked, has led to Daniel Farke being tipped up as the most likely departure in the Premier League.

Farke began the season under pressure but they have been more competitive than was to be expected, especially after reports after promotion that Farke would be sacked regardless of overseeing a Championship title-winning campaign.

Nuno Santo leads

Nuno is only three games into his West Ham reign but there has been little improvement from the side that struggled under Graham Potter.

Fault can't be fully attributed to the Portuguese manager given the chaos in the East End but he has just one point so far and the recent home loss to Brentford was one of the most one-sided games of the season.

The Hammers did manage to come from behind to defeat Newcastle United 3-1 this weekend, to stave off some of the pressure in Stratford.

Parker's new team

Burnley boss Scott Parker will always be closer to the top of this odds list than not, as a result of the Clarets likely being involved in a relegation battle throughout the campaign.

However, their solid start to the campaign marks them out as surprisingly competitive and that is testament to the job that Parker is doing at Turf Moor.

Dyche sacked

Sean Dyche should have a bit of time but Nottingham Forest and owner Evangelos Marinakis do tend to burn through managers at will - and he is winless after two Premier League games.

Following a 2-0 victory over Porto in the UEFA Europa League, Forest then suffered a 2-0 loss to AFC Bournemouth before an entertaining 2-2 draw with Manchester United at the City Ground.
