For the first time in his illustrious career, Lionel Messi will face a former team, and that moment has arrived in a knockout game that promises excitement at the FIFA Club World Cup.
As the Round of 16 gets underway, Messi and Inter Miami will come up against PSG in a battle of the biggest stars at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Here's all the best betting advice, tips and analysis from our experts for this one.
Second in Group A, Inter Miami are undefeated (one win and two draws) and became the first MLS team to advance to this stage of the competition. Although going further will not be easy, the Herons will be looking to repeat what Botafogo did in the group stage by getting one over on PSG. With Messi, Suarez, Busquets, Alba and company, maybe they are right to dream?
As for PSG, they finished Group B with six points, the same as Botafogo and Atletico Madrid, although they advanced as the top side by virtue of having better numbers in the tie-breaker criteria set out by FIFA.
Pending the return of Ballon d'Or favourite Ousmane Dembele, who missed the entire group stage through injury, Luis Enrique is in the hunt for another crown and will not be satisfied with the treble he won this year.
According to Sky Bet, the favourite in this match is PSG: the Parisians' win pays 1/5 and their passage to the quarter-finals after 90' is at 1/10. Meanwhile, Inter Miami's win goes up to 9/1 and 15/2 to progress. The draw is 21/4.

Messi to score or assist: 5/4 (CopyBet)
This one will be special for Leo. As well as wanting to continue making history with Inter Miami after coming through a difficult group, Messi will be facing a team where he played for two seasons, won three titles and scored 32 goals. Fate has brought him face-to-face with PSG and the Argentine will have the chance to mark an unprecedented personal achievement: to apply the famous ‘law of the ex’ for the first time. After a stunning free-kick goal against Porto, he will be PSG's main threat.
PSG to win the first half with a -1 handicap: 21/10 (CopyBet)
As European champions PSG are strong favourites to advance to the quarter-finals and we are expecting them to make an early impression on the scoreboard, as they have done in four of their last five games (they missed that mark only in the 1-0 win vs. Botafogo). In those four matches they also won the first half. In terms of goals, though, in three of those matches the Parisians scored two at most before half-time (Inter, Atletico Madrid and Seattle) and here they will also face an Inter Miami side whose defence is much improved from the serious problems they have had in MLS. So a -1 handicap is as far as we are prepared to go.

PSG vs. Inter Miami predicted lineups, team news
Star forward Ousmane Dembele continues to train alone and it's unclear when he will return to action for PSG. He has yet to appear in the Club World Cup after suffering a thigh injury. Bradley Barcola sat out the first match due to knee discomfort but has returned to serve as a bench option and could be in line for a start.
Luis Enrique hardly rotated his side at all in the group finale against Seattle Sounders, but could bring back Goncalo Ramos at centre-forward after seeing him swapped out for Senny Mayulu in the only alteration.
- PSG predicted XI (4-3-3, right to left): Donnarumma (GK) — Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes — Neves, Vitinha, F. Ruiz — Doue, Ramos, Kvaratskhelia.
Injured: Dembele (thigh, doubt).
Suspended: None.
On a yellow card: Neves, F. Ruiz, Marquinhos.
While Inter Miami have built their team around Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, the rest of the attack has been overhauled around them. New signings Taedo Allende and Telasco Segovia have exploded to life this tournament on the wings, while MLS veteran Fafa Picault is a plus bench option having rejoined the side after playing internationally for Haiti before the Club World Cup began.
Starting goalkeeper Drake Callender has been dealing with a hernia for months and is unlikely to participate in this competition at all after having surgery. Backup Oscar Ustari recovered from a precautionary exit from a late May MLS game and will continue in goal after starring in the team's first two matches.
Jordi Alba returned after missing the opener with a hamstring injury, but has only been fit enough for the bench in the final two group games and it's unclear if he'll be ready to start. Almost certainly out is Gonzalo Lujan, who have been absent from training due to hamstring complaints, while David Ruiz and Yannick Bright are questionable having trained alone of late.
- Inter Miami predicted XI (4-4-2, right to left): Ustari (GK) — Weigandt, Aviles, Falcon, Allen — Allende, Redondo, Busquets, Segovia — Messi, Suarez
Injured: Ruiz (hamstring, doubt), Bright (hamstring, doubt), Lujan (hamstring), Callender (hernia).
Suspended: None.
On a yellow card: Aviles, Messi, Redondo, Busquets, Suarez.
