Team India are all set to travel to Australia for an eight-match white-ball series starting October 19. The two giants of world cricket will compete in three ODIs and five T20Is.
The squads for the two series were announced last week, with the major talking point being Shubman Gill's appointment as the new ODI captain, replacing veteran Rohit Sharma.
The decision has divided opinions and also raised questions on the long-term future of Sharma and Virat Kohli in international cricket, considering the stalwarts have already retired from T20Is and Tests.

Among the other major talking points from the squad selection was the omission of Ravindra Jadeja from the ODI squad, despite enjoying a stellar campaign in the 2025 Champions Trophy earlier this year.
The excitement around the white-ball series is at its peak as fans from both nations are eager to watch some high-quality cricket in Australian conditions.
Fans are eager to catch their heroes live in action at the stadiums and the Melbourne Cricket Ground has already confirmed that all tickets were sold out three weeks before the 2nd T20I, which will take place at the iconic stadium on October 31.

When will Team India travel to Australia for the white-ball series?
PTI (via NDTV) reports that the Indian team will depart for Australia for the white-ball series in two different batches on October 15, a day after the second and final Test between India and West Indies concludes.
The report adds that the first batch of players will fly in the morning, while the second batch will jet off in the evening, depending on the availability of business class tickets for the long-haul flight.

Kohli, Sharma and Shreyas Iyer are expected to link up with the Indian Test team in Delhi on the day of travel. A BCCI source told PTI, "Virat and Rohit will touch down in the capital either on the day of departure or a day prior."
If the India vs West Indies second Test concludes before the completion of all five days, some of the members of the Test squad will be granted a short break to visit their families in their hometowns before travelling down under.
