In the teaser clip of Rise and Fall, Dhanashree is seen portraying a powerful queen-like character.
With full confidence, she says, “Queen ko star banne ki zarurat nahi hai… aur waise bhi interviewers ki line lagi padi hai. Penthouse mein jitne bhi sports channels hai na, maine bandh kar diye hai. [There is no need for a Queen to become a star. Even otherwise, people are queuing up in a line to interview me. I have closed down all sports channels in this penthouse.]”
Her statement quickly drew attention online, with social media users interpreting it as an indirect response to Chahal’s earlier stunt of wearing a “Be Your Own Sugar Daddy” T-shirt right after their divorce.

This isn’t the first time her words have sparked speculation. In another promo earlier, Dhanashree had remarked, “Trust toh mera bohot pehle toot chuka tha.”
How did the divorce between Dhanashree and Yuzvendra Chahal unfold?
The couple, who married in December 2020, finalised their divorce in March 2025. According to reports, Chahal paid an alimony of ₹4.75 crore as part of the settlement.
Their relationship, once adored on social media, had started when Chahal joined Dhanashree’s online dance classes during the pandemic.
What began as quick romance ended just four years later, turning into a much-debated topic in cricket and entertainment circles.

Adding to the drama, Chahal appeared in court on the day of their divorce wearing a bold T-shirt with the words “Be Your Own Sugar Daddy.”
While he later admitted it was his way of drawing a line under the chapter, fans quickly connected it to his ex-wife.
How did Dhanashree handle criticism?
Following the split, Dhanashree faced heavy trolling online, with several people unfairly branding her a “gold digger.”
Earlier, In a candid conversation with Humans of Bombay, she admitted that the divorce was “confusing” and that while she could deal with online hate, it deeply affected her parents.

She shared that her mother broke down several times, and her parents even stopped answering phone calls to avoid unpleasant remarks. Despite this, Dhanashree credited them for reminding her that leaving the marriage was the right choice.
