The Toronto Raptors could always use another Canadian standout.

They're giving one a shot at Summer League.

The Raptors have Quincy Guerrier on their Summer League roster.

Guerrier is the rare Canadian hooper who was born in Montreal, in Quebec.

He eventually made it to college basketball at Syracuse. He played for the Orange, then transferred to Oregon, then transferred to Illinois.

The muscular 6-foot-7 Guerrier has always been a force inside with his outside shooting the biggest question.

Guerrier did play for Raptors 905 in the G League after going undrafted.

He also has played for the Montreal Alliance in the Canadian Elite Basketball League.

Guerrier is 26, and this could be one of his last chances to impress NBA on-lookers, both with the Raptors and with other teams.

It'd certainly be cool if the Canadian kid found a way to make it to training camp in Toronto.
