This season's version of the DeSoto-Duncanville rivalry may not be the game to watch in Texas, as is usually the case, given the teams' records.
But, make no mistake, anytime the Eagles and Panthers get together on the gridiron, expect fireworks and expect some of the top athletes in not only the state but the entire nation on display.
The traditionally elite programs from the southern part of the Dallas-Fort Worth "Metroplex," DeSoto and Duncanville square off once again on Friday night.
Duncanville has played just three ballgames this season and is 2-1. As for DeSoto, the Eagles come in at 3-2, but have won three straight, including a win against Waxahachie, which upended Duncanville last month.
