Murrieta Valley is fresh off a 55-45 comeback win against Norco in which RB Jeremiah Watson ran wild for 256 yards and five touchdowns. That put Watson up to 938 yards and 13 touchdowns on 9.1 yards per carry through six games to go with nine catches for 108 yards and a touchdown. Chaparral, coming off a 28-20 win over Vista Murrieta that was low-scoring by its standards, also has one of California's most productive offensive threats in 4-star QB Dane Weber, who's completed 73.8% of his passes for 1,718 yards and 19 touchdowns to three interceptions.
While sharing a league with national contender Corona Centennial is never easy, whichever team pulls this one out is firmly entrenched in the Big West - Upper title race.
