A Citrus Belt League title is likely on the line on Friday as Beaumont (5-1) looks to take down Cajon (3-3) for the second year in a row.

Some might think Beaumont is playing with house money after last year's success was only its second top-two finish in the league since 2013. But with so many key players returning from its 2024 breakthrough, the reigning champion will be ready for a dogfight as the favorite to defend its title.

When the teams met last year, it was Beaumont's only close call of league play and a comeback from down 25-6 to win 34-31. Jeremiah Duhu threw touchdown passes to Braedon Miller and Kainalu Johnston, all three of whom are now seniors. Duhu also ran for 102 yards and a touchdown.

Cajon has a brand new skill position core in 2025, and it's still taking shape but has had many promising moments this season. The Cowboys' top returner and the biggest-name prospect in this matchup is 3-star linebacker Taylor Johnson, a senior USC commit and one of the most productive tacklers in all the land. After recording 174 tackles, 82 solo tackles, nine tackles for loss, and four sacks in 12 games as a junior, Johnson is already up to 123 tackles, 72 solo tackles, eight tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks in just six games.
