ORANGE, California, Oct. 3 — The SN No. 1 St. John Bosco [Bellflower, CA] Braves shut out the Orange [CA] Lutheran Lancers Friday night in California's Trinity League action by a final count of 48-0.
St. John Bosco entered the game holding down seven of the eight first place votes in The Sporting News Composite Rankings. Orange Lutheran, meanwhile, was looking to turn things around, having gone 2-3 after a promising start to the season when they won at the Top 25 Northwestern [Miami, FL] Bulls in late August.
St. John Bosco improved to 7-0 with the win while Orange Lutheran falls under .500 for the first time this season at 3-4.
