Brother Martin and Archbishop Rummel were on opposite ends of close outcomes as they began Catholic League play last week.

This week, the two longtime rivals square off in a matchup between two of Louisiana's top 20 teams.  Since 2002, the Raiders are 15-10 in the all-time series, but the Crusaders have won five of the last six.

Brother Martin defeated Jesuit, 31-29, after a last-second 38-yard field goal by Maximo Barrios. The Crusaders have one of the state's more dynamic receivers in Easton Royal, who has 27 catches for 622 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Rummel lost 21-19 to John Curtis after being held to 168 yards of offense. The Raiders were led by Kirby Cade's four catches for 45 yards and a touchdown.
