Tottenham Hotspur have brought back a past influential figure as part of the new structure within the men's football operation at the club.
On Wednesday (October 15), the Premier League outfit officially announced that former managing director of football Fabio Paratici would return to the club as co-sporting director.
The 53-year-old, who initially worked at Spurs from 2021-2023, has spent previous months serving as a consultant to the North London club.
Paratici is set to share his new role alongside Johan Lange, who has been promoted from the position of technical director.

The surprise return of Paratici comes just over two years after he stepped down from his previous position at Spurs.
The Italian's first spell at the club came to an end after he lost an appeal to a 30-month ban received over false accounting from his time working for Juventus.

In an official statement shared by the club, Paratici said: "I’m delighted to be returning to a club that I love. I now look forward to returning to London and joining the team full-time."

Spurs CEO Vinai Venkatesham explained the decision to share the sporting director role at the club moving forward, commenting: "The remit of a Sporting Director today is vast."
"By uniting two exceptional leaders in Johan and Fabio, we’re setting the foundations for sustained success. They are both outstanding football minds, with complementary expertise and strong track records."
This latest change at Spurs is part of a long-term plan to deliver frequent sporting success at the club.
Other recent changes have seen Daniel Levy step down as executive chairman after 25 years at Spurs and the majority owners, the Lewis family trust, injecting £100m of fresh capital into the club.
The club intend to start recruitment for a new director of football operations imminently, to fully establish the new structure within the men's football operations.
