Richarlison has started the season well for Tottenham Hotspur, scoring three goals and providing one assist in seven Premier League games.

This is a remarkable turnaround from the last campaign, during which Richarlison made just 15 appearances due to injuries.

His form has meant he has kept his place in Carlo Ancelotti's Brazil side, who are set for friendly matches against South Korea and Japan this international break.

Despite his form and the fact that he is only 28, Richarlison is being linked with a move to MLS.

Fabrizio Romano posted on X: "Orlando City board presented their project to Richarlison for summer 2026 with mission to London to meet with his agents."

Next summer, Richarlison will have just one year left on his Spurs contract, so the club may want to cash in on him then.

In order to grow the sport in the United States, MLS will want to sign more top players to their division after the 2026 World Cup, which the US is co-hosting with Canada and Mexico.

Orlando City has had a great Brazilian player in the past

When Orlando announced themselves to MLS in 2015, they had the great Kaka in their ranks. However, they have not made many notable signings since the former Real Madrid and AC Milan player retired in 2017.

Orlando is currently seventh in MLS, so they are in the playoff places with two regular-season games to go.

At Orlando, Richarlison would compete with United States international Duncan McGuire for a starting spot. McGguire came agonisingly close to joining Blackburn Rovers last year.

Orlando also has the Colombian striker Luis Muriel in their ranks as a designated player, who has scored nine MLS goals this season.
