Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has opened up about Marc Guehi's failed move to Liverpool and his feelings over the recent saga.
Guehi was all set to join Arne Slot's side after a £35m fee was accepted by Palace on the final day of the summer transfer window, with the defender even undergoing his medical.
However, The Eagles' proposed replacement signing, Igor Julio, turned down a move to the FA Cup holders and joined West Ham United instead.
This caused Guehi's move to be called off, as Glasner was insistent over recent weeks that an adequate replacement would need to arrive in order for his skipper to depart.
Reports claimed that Glasner was willing to walk from his position as Crystal Palace boss if his star centre-back's move to Liverpool was sanctioned.

Glasner responded to questions about him reportedly quitting his role during the pre-match press conference ahead of his side's Premier League match with Sunderland on Saturday (September 13).

"I never threatened to leave the club," he said boldly. "The chairman asked can we manage the season when we sell Marc. I said if we sell our captain with about 15,000 minutes in the Premier League, we can't manage it short term."
"If then we have three centre-backs with our schedule, and if we have an injury in the back three, it's very risky," Glasner added.
Rumours also suggested that Glasner was not on good terms with Palace chairman Steve Parish over the summer, but The Eagles boss denied this and offered praise for Parish's decision-making.
"I didn't threaten anybody. There were no bad tensions between the chairman and myself. He decided against the money for the sporting perspective, so big credit to the chairman."
Guehi moved past his collapsed move to Liverpool as he started both of England's recent World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia, respectively.
The 25-year-old netted his first ever goal for his country in the 5-0 demolition away to Serbia.
