Leandro Trossard has made just one substitute appearance for Arsenal in the Premier League this season, and his time in North London could soon be over.

New signings such as Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke seem to have pushed Trossard down Mikel Arteta's pecking order.

This is despite Trossard playing a key role for Arsenal last season, scoring eight goals with eight assists in 38 league games.

Sozcu has reported (translated from Turkish), "Besiktas has made a move to sign left winger Leonardo Trossard from Arsenal."

The transfer window in England closed on Monday, but teams in Turkey can still make moves until September 12.

Besiktas will need Leandro Trossard to compete with Galatasaray

Besiktas have already changed managers this season, with Sergen Yalcin replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

This was a drastic measure for a club that wants to compete with the defending champions, Galatasaray.

Galatasaray, who are already top of the league, have strengthened this summer by signing Victor Osimhen permanently and Leroy Sane.

However, Besiktas does not have a bad roster either. Tammy Abraham is at the club on loan from AS Roma.

Also at Yalcin's disposal are former West Ham United player Joao Mario and ex-Leicester City man Wilfred Ndidi.

If Besiktas can add Trossard as well to their roster, then they will be expected to challenge Galatasaray for the Super Lig title.
