Moses Itauma will return to the ring on Saturday December 13 at the Co-op Arena against an opponent still yet to be named.
The highly-rated young heavyweight star recently knocked out former world title challenger Dillian Whyte inside just a round in August to move to 13-0.
The Brit is looking to remain active and cement his position as one of the top heavyweight fighters in boxing right now.
However, it has been a struggle for Queensbury Promotions and Frank Warren to secure a competitive and willing boxer to take on Itauma in two months time.
Filip Hrgovic and Jermaine Franklin are believed to have turned down proposals to fight the 20-year-old, while Michael Hunter and David Adeleye are among the current options being considered according to The Ring's Mike Coppinger.
Hunter and Adeleye may appear as the frontrunners to challenge Itauma next as of this moment, but one big name in the heavyweight division appears to be up for a bout with the young British star.

Past heavyweight world champion keen to battle Itauma
Former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker has surprisingly put his name forward to challenge Itauma on December 13 in Manchester, should he beat Fabio Wardley on October 25.

The 33-year-old is keen to fight more as his last win over Martin Bakole in February was his first fight in nearly a year.
"I don't want to be out of the ring for too long. I want to fight as often as I can and if all goes well with Wardley on October 25, put me in the ring again at the end of the year," Parker said at a recent media roundtable.
Considering Parker is competing in a fortnight, him committing to a fight with Itauma would be a massive risk as he would have less than two months of preparation.
Also, should the New Zealander take care of business at the O2 Arena in two weeks time, he will earn a shot at fighting for the WBO belt currently held by undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk next.
Taking on Itauma after potentially beating Wardley would see Parker risk his shot at becoming a world champion for a second time, but he is not fazed by any challenge.
"I would take any fight there is. I know Moses is a great talent. He can only fight who is in front of him and he's been able to take care of business every time."
"He's young, he's powerful, he's fast and that would be another fight I would love. I'm not even in this boxing game to be taking my time, picking this fight or picking that fight, I'll fight anyone," Parker insisted.
Despite eyeing a fight with Itauma, Parker will be sure to spend the next couple of weeks ensuring he is in the best possible shape for his bout with Wardley.
