The San Francisco 49ers are operating on a short week for Week 5.
They play on Thursday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams, and injuries won't help their cause.
There's little time to recover from their Week 4 loss to Jacksonville, both from a gameplan standpoint and also from a health standpoint.
And on the 49ers' injury report, it really shows.

Is Brock Purdy playing tonight?
Brock Purdy isn't playing tonight.
He was ruled out Wednesday due to his toe injury.
Purdy missed Weeks 2 and 3 with his Week 1 ailment, then returned in Week 4, but he felt discomfort in the loss to the Jaguars and so is being held out.
Mac Jones will start again for Purdy.

49ers injury report
The 49ers also ruled out four other players in addition to Purdy when they released Wednesday's injury report.
Wide receivers Jauan Jennings, Ricky Pearsall and Jordan Watkins are all out.
Defensive end Robert Beal Jr. has also been ruled out.
