What did A.J. Brown tweet? Eagles star shares cryptic message after another quiet game image

A.J. Brown's username on X (formerly Twitter) tells us a lot about the Philadelphia Eagles' wide receiver.

His handle is @1Kalwaysopen_. He certainly believes in himself.

But if he's always open right now, it's not showing up on the stat sheet.

Brown has had three quiet games amid the Eagles' 4-0 start, with these stat lines:

  • Week 1: 1 catch, 8 yards (1 target)
  • Week 2: 5 catches, 27 yards (8 targets)
  • Week 3: 6 catches, 109 yards, 1 TD (10 targets)
  • Week 4: 2 catches, 7 yards (9 targets)

The targets are somewhat reassuring, but the fact that Brown and Jalen Hurts have connected so infrequently is concerning.

And after Sunday's win over the Buccaneers, Brown sent out two tweets expressing his feelings.

What did A.J. Brown tweet?

Brown first made this post on Sunday night:

He's got the mended heart there. Brown is in his feelings a bit.

Later in the night, he shared a Bible verse: "If you're not welcomed, not listened to, quietly withdraw. Don't make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way."

That's from the Gospel of Mark. Brown, who made scenes last season by reading a book on the sideline, clearly has multiple sources of literary inspiration.

And Brown has certainly had plenty of time to think while he's been running routes and not catching the football.

It seems inexplicable that he'd fall off this quickly. He's one of the league's most talented receivers.

We'll just have to see if Brown sounding off a bit helps get him back involved in the offense in a way that lifts his spirits.
