The National Football League is back. The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles opened up the 2025 season on Thursday Night Football. The game was off to a great start, with 41 points in the first half of the game.
But one player that fans are not sure about started the season, was AJ Brown of the Eagles. The second round pick in the 2019 NFL draft out of Ole Miss played the first 45+ minutes of the game and did not have a single reception. In fact, Brown did not have a target in the first half. It was the first time he went without a first half target since Week 16 of the 2019 season.
Brown is projected to be one of the top receivers in the National Football League. Last season, he caught 67 passes for 1,079 yards and seven touchdowns. He and Saquon Barkley, along with Jalen Hurts, were a huge part of the offense to win the Super Bowl in February.

That begged the question for fans who were waiting to see Brown tear up the poor Dallas defense. Did AJ Brown change his number? No, AJ Brown did not change his number. AJ Brown still wears No. 11 for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Keep looking, Eagles fans, keep looking, fantasy owners. He is on the field, he is just out there getting cardio in the season opener.
