The Kansas City Chiefs could ill-afford to lose any more wide receivers for the Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, but that's exactly what happened in the first quarter.

Second-year wide receiver Xavier Worthy was running across the middle of the field on a third-down play on the first series of the game when he got absolutely leveled by tight end Travis Kelce by accident.

Kelce hit Worthy hard in the shoulder, which led to the young wideout leaving the game with a shoulder injury. Worthy was spotted going to the locker room after leaving the field and is now questionable to return.

Here's a look at the play involving Kelce and Worthy.

Worthy was supposed to go underneath Kelce's route on the play, but clearly something got messed up, leading to the collision.

Taylor Swift's fiance stands at 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds, while Worthy is 5-foot-11 and 165 pounds. That kind of collision is never going to end well for the smaller Worthy.

With Worthy sidelined, the Chiefs are now down three wide receivers, as Rashee Rice is suspended and rookie Jalen Royals is out due to injury.

Kansas City desperately needs Marquise Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster to step up as a result.
