It hasn't taken long to see how much the loss of Micah Parsons will hurt the Dallas Cowboys in 2025.

Of course, Parsons was traded to the Green Bay Packers last week in a deal that saw the Cowboys get two first-round picks and defensive lineman Kenny Clark.

In the first half of the Week 1 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Cowboys' pass-rush has been seriously lacking, as quarterback Jalen Hurts has had plenty of time to throw and is finding holes to run through when nobody is open.

Through a quarter-plus, the Eagles topped 100 yards on the ground and are averaging over six yards per carry. Hurts in particular has 43 yards and five carries and has scored two touchdowns as of this writing. He hasn't been sacked once.

It shouldn't come as any surprise that the Cowboys miss Parsons. He's a generational talent at linebacker and can impact a game in several ways, including as a pass-rusher. Adequately replacing him will be impossible.

The Cowboys will hope things improve as this game and the rest of the season progresses, but right now his loss has been as impactful as we all expected.

As the Cowboys navigate their first game without Parsons, the new Packers linebacker is preparing for a Week 1 game against the Detroit Lions.

But Parsons' status is up in the air, as he's listed on Green Bay's injury report with a back issue. Parsons was limited on Wednesday and Thursday and said the decision on whether or not he plays will be up to the medical staff.
