Browns sign 2 new WRs to active roster amid injury troubles image

The Cleveland Browns had a couple wide receivers get injured in Week 4.

Cedric Tillman and DeAndre Carter may both miss some time, with Tillman officially on Injured Reserve as of Tuesday.

To fill those openings, the Browns signed a pair of wideouts up from the practice squad.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that it's Malachi Corley and Gage Larvadain being moved up to active roster contracts.

Corley is the former Jets wideout who was released before the season. He's an explosive player who could be utilized on gadget plays, as well.

Larvadain is a feel-good story, having made it from Southeastern Louisiana University to Miami (Ohio) to South Carolina. He shone in the preseason to earn the right to stick around on the practice squad, and now he'll get a chance at his NFL debut as an undrafted rookie.

The Browns have bigger concerns than WR, though.

The quarterback position remains up in the air. Joe Flacco has started for four weeks, but calls have begun for third-round rookie Dillon Gabriel to get his shot.

Cleveland is heading to London this week to play the Minnesota Vikings there on Sunday, so there's some complicating factors to making any quarterback swap this week.

It also might not be ideal to put a new QB in place without much to throw to.

But the Browns will have to just keep piecing this together as they go.
