The Buffalo Bills are looking to get back on the winning track after losing 23-20 to the New England Patriots in Week 5. The Bills have been without several players due to injury, as Ed Oliver hasn't played since Week 1 and Matt Milano has been gone since getting injured in Week 2. Max Hairston and Tyler Bass haven't appeared in a game yet this season after starting the season on IR. The latest update from Sean McDermott doesn't sound promising on the latter two coming back any time soon.
"Bills HC Sean McDermott when asked if he's confident whether CB Maxwell Hairston or K Tyler Bass would play this season," Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports. "He said, 'We'll see.' McDermott did say both are heading in the right direction.
If the Bills won't have Hairston for the long-term future, going out and acquiring a cornerback needs to be at the top of their to-do list. Otherwise, they will be carved up once the playoffs come around.
