Is Jaire Alexander playing tonight? Why Ravens' new CB has slow start to Baltimore career image

Jaire Alexander was a splashy addition this offseason by the Baltimore Ravens.

So far, though, he hasn't made many splashes.

The Ravens got Alexander after the Green Bay Packers decided to cut ties with him.

It could work out as a nice pickup, but it hasn't so far.

Is Jaire Alexander playing tonight?

No, Jaire Alexander is not playing on Monday Night Football for the Ravens against the Lions.

He's inactive for a second consecutive week.

He also missed Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns.

Alexander did play in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills despite a nagging knee injury.

The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec wrote this on X on Sunday in Week 2 after Alexander's first inactive ruling:

"Plenty of signs this week that was in the offing. Harbaugh talked about needing to get Alexander 'right.' DC Zach Orr talked about his confidence in Alexander being ready when he got his next (opportunity)."

It remains to be seen when Alexander will be back.
