Robert Griffin III breaks down odd Heisman race image

Oregon’s Dante Moore headlines RGIII’s latest Heisman rankings after stunning Penn State

When Robert Griffin III speaks on quarterbacks, people listen. The former Baylor star and Heisman Trophy winner turned FOX Sports analyst dropped his updated Heisman list this week, and it’s already sparking debate across college football. From breakout stars to overlooked veterans, Griffin’s rankings highlight just how unpredictable this year’s race has become.

At the top sits Oregon’s Dante Moore. The freshman quarterback stormed into the spotlight with a clutch performance in the Ducks’ 31-21 win at Penn State. Moore threw for 248 yards and three touchdowns, and Griffin made his stance clear: “If he is not at the top of your Heisman list, your Heisman list is wrong.” Moore currently ranks fourth nationally in touchdown passes and fifth in completion percentage, giving Oregon a real shot at a playoff run.

Missouri’s Ahmad Hardy grabbed the No. 2 spot after powering the Tigers to a 5-0 start. Hardy leads the FBS in rushing yards and is tied for the national lead in rushing touchdowns, proving to be the most consistent workhorse in the country. Griffin praised his relentless style, saying he “runs the rock like it’s the last run of his career every single time.”

Meanwhile, Vanderbilt’s Diego Pavia made history with six total touchdowns last week, becoming the first Commodore since 1996 to hit that mark. Vanderbilt is 5-0 for the first time in over a century, and Griffin says Pavia is “changing what people think when they see that logo.”

Griffin’s list is more than rankings, it’s a snapshot of where college football’s biggest stars are defining the season. And with October’s chaos looming, the Heisman picture is only going to get more intense.
