Hurricanes offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa earns spot on the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award watch list.

The Miami Hurricanes’ offensive line has been anchored by a young star with uncommon maturity. Now, Francis Mauigoa’s leadership has put him in the national spotlight.

Mauigoa was named to the watch list for the 2025 Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award, a distinction recognizing courage, integrity and sportsmanship on and off the field. He is one of just 67 players across the country to receive the honor.

This isn’t just another football accolade. The award highlights who Mauigoa is beyond the trenches. Mauigoa has been a steady force in Miami’s locker room, a trusted voice even as an underclassman.

Mauigoa shows integrity on the field. His disciplined play has made him one of the ACC’s most reliable offensive linemen.

Mauigoa is making an impact in the community. The award committee recognized his work outside football, where he has embraced service opportunities.

The honor continues a tradition that has seen past winners like Shaquem Griffin and Sam Ehlinger set the standard for leadership in college football. Mauigoa now carries that torch for Miami.

For the Hurricanes, it’s another reminder that their success goes deeper than the scoreboard.
