When you think about Michael Jordan, you think about arguably the greatest player to ever play in the NBA. The six-time NBA Finals winner is commonly discussed as the GOAT, and rightfully so.

Jordan's career is legendary, and even the younger generation can not get enough of the old clips from his days with the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards.

Now, Jordan will make his way back into the game a bit as he was revealed as a special contributor for the NBA on NBC and Peacock which will trot out this season.

The NBA on NBC and Peacock account shared a video montage of Jordan on social media with a caption that read:

"A legendary addition to our team! We’re thrilled to welcome Michael Jordan as a special contributor to the NBA on NBC and Peacock."

Fans seemed thrilled about it as well.

"Now this is something to see," one fan replied with the eyeball emojis. "This is fantastic for NBA fans," wrote another. "This can't be real. Incredible," said another.

"Alright, this is pretty cool, regardless of what the role is. MJ has never been on the media landscape. I'm very excited to see how he breaks the game down these days," another said

"First Brady now Jordan, all the GOATS are picking up a mic," the FanDuel account wrote

"Finally, finally… we get to hear “The GOAT Analysis.” That should be the name of his segment!" another said

The announcement was revealed at NBCUniversal's presentation at Radio City Hall in New York City, per the official release

“I am so excited to see the NBA back on NBC,” said Jordan. “The NBA on NBC was a meaningful part of my career, and I’m excited about being a special contributor to the project. I’m looking forward to seeing you all when the NBA on NBC launches this October.”

NBC already had a star-studded group which includes  Jamal Crawford and Reggie Miller as game analysts, Carmelo Anthony as a studio analyst, and Mike Tirico and Noah Eagle doing play-by-play, so adding Jordan to the fold is going above and beyond.
