The Milwaukee Bucks season came to a crushing end as Tyrese Haliburton hit the game-winner to give the Indiana Pacers the 4-1 series victory.
As such, questions are swirling nonstop about the future of Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. Do the Bucks end the Giannis era and start over? Do they try and bring in another star after Damian Lillard's torn Achilles injury?
Well, Giannis will be at the forefront of trade rumors all summer long, especially after ESPN's Shams Charania reported that the two-time MVP is now "open-minded" about exploring other options.
After the Bucks' season ended, Stephen Noh of Sporting News ranked the possible destinations for Giannis. And while some fans have been pounding the table for the Los Angeles Lakers to acquire Giannis, Noh admits the Lakers probably don't have enough pieces.
In Noh's rankings, he had the Lakers at No. 28 and in Tier 4, which is labeled as "Not enough pieces to get a trade done."
"The Lakers could be a second apron team if LeBron comes back at his max. They only have one first-rounder to trade, along with Austin Reaves, Dalton Knecht, and salary filler. Unless they wanted to move Luka Doncic, then that's not enough for Giannis."
Sure, a LeBron James-Giannis Antetokounmpo-Luka Doncic trio is a scary one to dream about, but it would cost a ton from LA.
So anybody dreaming of Giannis wearing Lakers' purple and gold might want to let go of that thought.
