In Game 1 when the Dodgers faced Brewers' opener Aaron Ashby, Freeman hit fourth with Teoscar Hernández in front of him. In Game 3, to keep Freeman in the cleanup spot, so Ashby won't face him left-on-left unless someone gets on base, the Dodgers moved Smith up into the No. 3 spot, and Hernández shifted back to sixth in the batting order.
Hernández is 2-for-8 in the NLCS so far, but will now hit behind Edman, who's in the No. 5 hole.
The Brewers will have Ashby start the game and are expected to have rookie Jacob Misiorowski come out of the bullpen to pitch the bulk of the innings. The Dodgers will have Tyler Glasnow as their starter.
