Last season, the Broncos edged out the Bears 34-33 at home after blocking an extra point.

Zachary is 2-0 for the fifth time in six years after defeating Acadiana, 30-14. The Broncos had a second half shutout to earn the win.

Carencro lost a close one last week to Lafayette Christian, 41-38, and is 1-1 on the season. Bear quarterback Carson Gurzi had three total touchdowns in the matchup.
