Is Emeka Egbuka playing today? Buccaneers WR gets key update for Week 3 image

Emeka Egbuka has so far proven that he was worthy of the No. 21 overall pick in April's NFL Draft first round.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have relied on him especially because of the continued absence of Chris Godwin.

Egbuka has three touchdowns through just two games, showing already how special he can potentially be.

Now the Buccaneers are just hoping injury doesn't keep him out for Week 3 against the New York Jets on Sunday.

Is Emeka Egbuka playing today?

Egbuka has been listed on the injury report with both a hip and a groin injury heading into Sunday, and he's officially questionable.

Despite that, Egbuka is "expected to play" in Week 3 against the Jets, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

The Buccaneers' injury report will come out at about 11:30 a.m. ET on Sunday.

Egbuka's presence would be a huge boost as the Bucs try and improve to 3-0.

Baker Mayfield clearly already trusts his rookie out of Ohio State who has formed a supreme pairing in the early going with the legendary Mike Evans.

A healthy, available Egbuka is that much better a chance of the Buccaneers staying unbeaten.
