ESPN's Mike Greenberg is a well-known New York Jets fan.

But on Friday, he definitely gained some support from the fanbase of the only NFL team that actually plays in New York state, the Buffalo Bills.

Greeny used his platform on Get Up to give Josh Allen the highest praise you could possibly give to a quarterback.

In part, Greenberg said, "No one has ever played that position better than Josh Allen plays it."

Here's the entire monologue:

"I'm mad at myself that we spent nine minutes and 17 seconds and I didn't say this yet. I've been watching this sport 50 years. I'm just a fan, just a reporter, whatever the case is. No one has ever played that position better than Josh Allen plays it. He's not the greatest player ever. You tell me who plays the position better than he plays it. You can't be better than Josh Allen. Josh Allen does everything. His command of what he's doing in the game right now is ridiculous. He just hasn't won anything. If he had won anything, we'd be talking about him with literally the best quarterbacks that have ever played."

Former NFL linebacker Bart Scott, sitting alongside Greenberg during this, was incredulous. He immediately brought up Lamar Jackson when Greenberg asked for a counterpoint.

And to be fair to anyone incensed with this Greenberg point, he chose an odd time to make it. The Bills just beat a winless Miami Dolphins team in Week 3 of the season. It might not be time for what in some ways amounts to a type of G.O.A.T proclamation.

But if you really hear or read Greenberg's take in full, he's not trying to say anything outlandish. He's saying that Allen does everything you could ever want a QB to do as well as any QB has ever done it.

Sure, that's subjective, but it also has some truth. Allen has gone from a kid with no Division I scholarship offers, to an erratic passer at Wyoming, to the NFL MVP.

He runs with the ball like Derrick Henry. He throws the ball like peak Patrick Mahomes. He leads his team like only the greatest ever have.

There will forever be disagreements in discussions like these. Human beings like to argue, and Greeny certainly went with a bold stance here.

Bills Mafia won't argue with him, though.
