The Philadelphia Eagles have been very active since the end of the preseason, making three trades over the last 36 hours. The first trade brought in quarterback Sam Howell, and now we are seeing the final fallout from that trade.
The Eagles announced they are releasing sixth-round pick Kyle McCord, whom they drafted out of Syracuse.
"The Eagles are releasing rookie QB Kyle McCord, per a league source," Jordan Schultz reports. "The 6th-round pick out of Syracuse had a good training camp, but Philly already has 3 QBs on its roster."
The Eagles will go with the trio of Jalen Hurts, preseason star Tanner McKee, and Howell as their three quarterbacks on the roster.
McCord led the FBS with 4,779 passing yards in 2024 and threw 34 touchdowns.
