The Philadelphia Eagles have made a horde of moves this offseason. Over the last day alone, they made three trades, most notably acquiring former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Howell. However, it's another trade that got attention on Monday.
At the beginning of the new league year, the Eagles traded safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson to the Houston Texans in exchange for guard Kenyon Green and a fifth-round pick. That said, he won't be playing a snap for the Eagles.
"The Eagles are waiving offensive lineman Kenyon Green, sources tell CBS Sports," Matt Zenitz reports. [He] was a first-round pick in 2022 and has made 23 career starts. Had been acquired in a trade with the Texans in March."
The Eagles acquired offensive lineman Fred Johnson from the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, which could be why they were so willing to move on from Green.
