The Philadelphia Eagles already have one of the best young cornerbacks in the NFL after drafting Quinyon Mitchell in 2024, and Howie Roseman just added another elite talent to pair with the sophomore star.
Mitchell was recently selected as one of the top 100 players in the NFL, but the Eagles knew that they needed more depth at corner to get back to the Super Bowl this upcoming season.
Philly went out and acquired Las Vegas Raiders star Jakorian Bennett by way of trade Monday night, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The Eagles only gave up defensive lineman Thomas Booker in exchange for Bennett's arrival, which marks a small price to pay for one of the more promising corners under the age of 25.
Jakorian Bennett was the only CB with 300+ defensive snaps last season with:

— 0 touchdowns allowed
— Less than 5.5 yards per target
— Less than 70 passer rating when targeted

Even though he's not the top name in the league the 24 year old is coming off of a fantastic campaign with the AFC West team and now has the chance to play for one of the league's best rosters.
Bennett allowed less than 6 yards per target last season and didn't allow any touchdowns despite going up against top receivers like Ja'Marr Chase, Ladd McConkey and others.
Now, the Birds have the opportunity to solidify both sides of the field with Mitchell and Bennett, as well as a plethora of secondary options that helped contribute to Philly's Super Bowl like Cooper DeJean and Reed Blankenship.
