Haters will say that the Philadelphia Eagles get lucky with their incredible knack for drafting NFL superstars, but Howie Roseman surely hit the jackpot on not one, but two amazing cornerbacks in 2024.
While Quinyon Mitchell wasn't the most-notable player coming out of college, he shot up draft boards last spring and was selected by the Birds in Round 1 before the team doubled down on their secondary with Cooper DeJean.
Both players not only thrived in the Eagles' defense in Year 1, but they became huge mainstays for defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. Now, Mitchell has been recognized as one of the top 100 best players in the NFL by his peers and other league executives.

In fact, Mitchell was named the 49th-best player after his stellar debut season, joining DeJean and Jordan Mailata, as well as several other Eagles likely to appear on the rankings list when the final 40 are revealed.
Philadelphia has huge plans for Mitchell in their secondary this season and moving forward after Darius Slay moved on this offseason, and Fangio even believes that his star corner has the potential to travel all around the field to cover the league's best wide receivers.
