The Green Bay Packers have a lot of wide receivers, and everyone knows it.
That has led to plenty of trade and cut speculation this offseason, and it seems that Romeo Doubs' name is usually the first one to come up.
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur tried to clear all that up when he spoke with Kay Adams on Friday.
First, will Doubs be cut? That "will not happen," LaFleur said.
A trade? LaFleur would be "very shocked."

And he summed up his thoughts like this:
“Rome is out there competing and doing everything that we need to see from him. Obviously, he’s played a lot of ball for us and at a high level. He’s been a great teammate. He goes out there and you can count on him every day.”
LaFleur also pushed back against the WR depth chart narratives a bit.
The Packers are dinged up to the point that their depth isn't quite what it seems.

Christian Watson isn't back from his knee injury. Dontayvion Wicks has a calf problem.
Jayden Reed and Doubs are the veterans with rookies Savion Williams and Matthew Golden, along with other possible veteran options like Mecole Hardman and Malik Heath.
Maybe if everyone is healthy by the trade deadline, this narrative changes.
For now, though, it doesn't sound like Doubs is going anywhere anytime soon.
