The Dallas Cowboys let Rico Dowdle walk this offseason, and it's got them chasing a new lead running back.
Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders are both ready to go for the season, two veteran free agent signings. And then there's the speedy rookie out of Texas, fifth-round pick Jaydon Blue.
But what if the Cowboys weren't happy with that?
Bleacher Report's Moe Moton predicts Dallas could trade for New York Jets dual-threat running back star, Breece Hall, who had 1,359 combined rushing and receiving yards in 2024.

Hall might not be as desired in New York this season, where Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis both continue to emerge in the backfield.
Moton speculates that it would take a fourth-round pick and WR Jalen Tolbert to get a Hall trade done.
"When you consider quarterback Justin Fields' ability as a ball-carrier, Gang Green can afford to trade Hall for draft capital, especially if the team doesn't expect to retain him in free agency next offseason," Moton writes. "The Jets can trade Hall for a middle-round draft pick and Tolbert, who can immediately bolster their wide receiver unit while still maintaining a robust ground attack with Allen, Davis and Fields leading the charge."

A Hall trade would make things even more crowded in Dallas. It would also create some potential controversy at the end of the season as to whether the Cowboys would consider re-signing Hall.
But getting more talent in the building would never be a bad thing, especially with the super talented Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders also in the NFC East.
Hall would give Dak Prescott another weapon, and that could work out nicely for the Cowboys.
