Colorado Buffaloes football stars Shedeur, Shilo Sanders can be teammates again — in Canada's CFL image

There are a lot of directions that the football careers of Shedeur and Shilo Sanders can still go.

The former Colorado Buffaloes stars are in the NFL now, although it hasn't all been easy. Shedeur has spent the preseason as the QB4 on the Cleveland Browns' depth chart. Shilo was just waived by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and is looking for a new team.

But there's one path they can take that would make them teammates again. It just requires heading up north.

The Sanders brothers are both on the negotiating list of the same team in the Canadian Football League. The CFL's Toronto Argonauts placed Shilo on their list this weekend, according to Pro Football Talk.

All that means is that if either Shedeur or Sanders chose to try and play in Canada, the Argonauts would be the first team able to offer them a contract.

"The gesture remains premature," writes Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio. "But if Shilo isn’t claimed on waivers and also isn’t signed to an NFL practice squad, he could choose to continue his football career in Canada."

Florio goes on to say that it wouldn't make sense for Shedeur to end up in Canada anytime soon.

This feels a bit like a publicity move for the Argonauts. But on the flip side, CFL teams are given 45-name negotiating lists to fill out. The Sanders brothers are good enough to be on those lists, especially given that teams have to consider players that could possibly end up north of the border, not guys that are so good that they'd never leave the NFL.

Shilo and Shedeur could also end up as teammates in the NFL, of course. The Browns could claim Shilo right now, for example, if they want to bring even more attention to Cleveland.

But at least the Sanders bros know one way they could get onto the field together again. It just involves a trip to Canada.
