Steelers' DK Metcalf mocks Browns after dominant divisional victory image

The Cleveland Browns dropped to 1-5 last week, suffering a disappointing 23-9 loss to their division rival Pittsburgh Steelers.

Dillon Gabriel got his second NFL start, but couldn't do much against Pittsburgh's ferocious pass rush, getting sacked six times throughout the contest.

Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf had himself a game in his first-ever taste of AFC North battle, hauling in four catches for 95 yards and a touchdown. But his tormenting of the Browns didn't end after the clock hit zero.

When asked after the game about his introduction to the AFC North, the former Seattle Seahawk took the opportunity to crack a joke at Cleveland's expense.

"I don’t want to get into divisional rivalries or anything of that nature. But I mean, it was fun kicking the Browns‘ [expletive] on Sunday," Metcalf said via Chris Adamski of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

The star wideout should get used to it, because this division "rivalry" is anything but one.

In the last 20 years, the Browns are 8-32-1 against the Steelers, and 0-21 in the regular season when playing in Pittsburgh.

Cleveland's lone shining moment came in the 2020 playoffs, when the Browns were able to upset the Steelers in the wildcard round.

Outside of that, it's been pure domination from the Steelers, and it will take some time before Cleveland regains standing room in the vaunted AFC North.

With last Sunday's victory, Pittsburgh strengthened their grip on the division lead with a 4-1 record, while the Browns and Baltimore Ravens are circling the drain at 1-5, and the Cincinnati Bengals struggle to stay afloat at 2-4.
