Josh Allen just keeps on doing amazing things.

On Sunday Night Football in Week 5 against the New England Patriots, the Buffalo Bills' MVP quarterback can do another one.

He's one special game away from standing alone atop the NFL record books in a cool category.

Right now, Allen has 45 games in his career in which he's thrown for a touchdown and run for a touchdown. That's tied with Cam Newton for most in NFL history, according to ESPN.

So if Allen finds the end zone once with his legs and once with his arm, he'll be a new NFL record holder.

Of course, if Allen doesn't do it this week, he'll surely do it soon enough.

It's just the latest example of how much Allen has lifted his game since entering the league as an inconsistent, reckless, erratic passer.

The traits were always there, but QBs often don't figure out the reliability aspect of the game in the NFL. Allen has.

That's what has allowed him to so consistently score touchdowns in multiple ways. Allen understands the task at hand and knows what it takes on any given gameday to get the job done.

He could eventually get caught in this category by Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, although don't expect Allen to slow down anytime soon. The pair of them rank above the rest as far as quarterbacks running specifically for touchdowns, given their prowess in short yardage.

In the meantime, it'll be really cool to see Allen set an NFL record of any sort. He's put together a career deserving of one.
